R. Connolly (Ronan)

Biography

Hello, my name is Ronan Connolly, and I am an Irish student who began the ASM Masters in September 2020. In May 2020, I completed my BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin. Here is where I discovered a passion for Materials Engineering, and the Aerospace field has always been where I wanted to apply my engineering knowledge, so this naturally lead me to ASM at TU Delft. I am currently undertaking my first-year Masters courses completely remotely in the Irish countryside due to Covid-19 pandemic, so I am looking forward to being able to live, study and begin my MSc Thesis in Delft in the future. Although unsure on what specifically I would like to research, I am excited to discover the opportunities that the NovAM group has to offer.

In my spare time I play football and chess, and enjoy solo running to keep fit. I am also an avid golfer, and would play every day if given the chance.
