The main reasons that led me to choose to do an exchange at TU Delft are the fact that it is renowned in my field as a centre of excellence and all courses at the faculty are offered in English. Since joined my home university I was looking forward to going abroad and face new challenges and I knew TU Delft would be the perfect place for that!

From my perspective, the courses here are fast paced. The lecturers go over the important topics of a subject, however, one needs to study the content offered by them at home to also learn the smaller details of a course and do well in the exams. I personally enjoyed this approach and found it to be rather efficient to me.

The university also offers a great infrastructure to aid our learning process. Some of my courses involved doing experiments in wind tunnels and flying an aircraft and a helicopter in the SIMONA simulator. It was amazing being able to see and feel the concepts learned in class in a simulator.

The TU also offers a vast variety of extracurricular activities. I decided to become a member of Force Elektro, the university's Ultimate Frisbee club. Their whole team was very welcoming, and I made good friends there. After 4 months within the club, I had the opportunity to become its president until January of 2019 to fill in a need they had, and it has been great to give back to the club.

If someone asked me "Was your stay according to your expectations?", I would have to answer no. No, because my stay has been a lot more exciting and rewarding than I could ever have expected.

I'm thankful for all the opportunities TU Delft has given me. It certainly aided my development as a person.
