Dutch university of Applied Sciences (HBO) degree

Admission and application procedure for students with a degree from a Dutch university of Applied Sciences (HBO)

If you have a BSc in Applied Physics (Technische Natuurkunde) from a Dutch university of applied sciences (HBO), you will have to successfully complete a bridging programme to provide you with the required background for the Master’s programme.

You will be admitted to the bridging programme provided you fulfil the following requirements:

  • HBO BSc in Applied Physics completed;
  • No study delay (without a good reason);
  • Cumulative grade point average ≥ 7.5;
  • The general TU Delft requirements concerning the level of English language.

Notwithstanding the general TU Delft admission requirements, if you have an HBO BSc in Applied Physics you will NOT be obliged to sit the mathematics entrance exam. However, you will have to meet the general English entry requirements.

The bridging programme is listed in the study guide, under ‘special programmes’ in the menu on the left. You are recommended to do the module on linear algebra before enrolling in the bridging programme.

If you successfully complete the Applied Physics bridging programme within the allotted period of two years, you will be admitted to the Master’s programme.

Application procedure
