MSc Computer & Embedded Systems Engineering

Innovations made possible by electronic systems and devices are making our lives healthier, more interesting, safer and more sustainable. These innovations are at the heart of industrial innovation and competitiveness, creating and sustaining jobs and economic well-being. The development of these systems and devices requires experts in the electrical engineering field as well as experts in computer science field. Having knowledge about both domains and being able to combine them, and use them in other systems, is an important advantage here. In the TU Delft Master of Science Programme Computer & Embedded Systems Engineering this is exactly what you will learn. The programme is unique in providing a holistic view of electronic system design.

Degree: Master of Science Computer & Embedded Systems Engineering

Accreditation: Accredited by the NVAO

Credits: 120 ECTS, 24 months

Type: Regular study programme

Mode: Full-time

Starts in: September

Language of instruction: English

What you will learn

You will learn about advanced computing and software systems, system engineering and computer architectures for embedded applications as well as high performance systems. In the programme you will be faced with real-time operating aspects and computer arithmetic. In projects you will experience how all these parts come together when designing an embedded system in practice and an optimised processor. The purpose of these hands-on projects is to achieve optimum system performance that meets the design criteria. In these projects hardware and software are integrated and you will learn how to design and develop these kinds of high-tech systems which require this multi-disciplinary integration. Depending on your interest, you can specialize further in the direction of Computer Architecture, Networking, Software or Control.
