International students

Admission requirements

International applicants holding a Bachelor’s degree in one of the natural sciences or technology subjects related to those taught at TU Delft are also eligible for this programme. You can choose to do a double degree (180 ECTS) with one of the other MSc programmes at TU Delft or fill the science & technology part of the curriculum with courses from another TU Delft MSc programme. If you are eligible for another TU Delft MSc programme, you are automatically eligible for our Communication Design for Innovation track. If you have already completed a suitable Master’s programme you might be exempted from some of the scientific course curriculum.

Please see also the general TU Delft admission requirements.

Proof of English Language proficiency

We advise students who apply to the Communication Design for Innovation programme to have higher scores on English Language proficiency tests than the minimum requirements for Master’s programmes at TU Delft. Because our programme mainly consists of group work, writing in English and communicating with students from different countries, it is important that both your spoken and your written English are very good.

We prefer applicants to meet one the following requirements:

  • A TOEFL** (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of at least 100 and a minimum score of 21 for each section (internet-based test). Please note that we only accept the TOEFL internet-based test.
  • or IELTS** (academic version) overall band score of at least 7.0  and a minimum of 6.0 for each section.

Application procedure

Please follow the general TU Delft application procedure information.
