Diploma
An original or certified copy of your secondary school diploma (or certificates) in the original language.
Haven’t graduated yet? Then an original or certified copy of your most recent transcript/list of grades in the original language.
If the diploma/transcript is in a language other than English, French, German or Dutch, a certified translation is also required.
Transcript
An original or certified copy of your complete transcript/ list of grades in the original language.
Haven’t graduated yet? Then an original or certified copy of your most recent transcript/list of grades in the original language.
If the transcript/list of grades is in a language other than English, French, German or Dutch, a certified translation is also required.
If applicable:
- A certified copy of a University transcript.
- Proof of enrolment of a Dutch foundation year (e.g. Boswell Beta schakeljaar, VASVU) including an overview of all subjects and levels (if applicable) of the exams you have passed / will take
Language Certificate

If applicable, your Dutch language certificate. If not yet available, you may upload this certificate at a later date. Deadline is 1 September.

The following English language certificates are accepted:
- TOEFL iBT
- When registering for the test, indicate TU Delft’s institutional code, 0031. If you have already taken the test and did not indicate TU Delft’s institutional code, then check the test organisation’s website on how to provide TU Delft access to your scores.
- IELTS (academic version)
- Cambridge Assessment English
- First Certificate in English (FCE) (only for Dutch taught programmes)
- C1 Advanced (Certificate of Advanced English)
- C2 Proficiency (Certificate of Proficiency in English)
- TOEFL iBT

For your visa, you will need a Nuffic certificate as proof of your English language proficiency. In order to obtain the Nuffic certificate you will need to take the IELTS or TOEFL internet-based test.
Curriculum Vitae
An extensive curriculum vitae (resume) written in English.
Be sure to include the following in your curriculum Vitae:
- Name of your Secondary School diploma
- Name of your exam subjects/levels (please check the specific additional diploma requirements)
In case you miss a mandatory exam subject (Maths, Physics, Chemistry and/or Biology) please indicate as well which relevant exam you are going to take in order to meet the requirement.
If you are currently studying at a Science or Engineering University or are enrolled in a Foundation Year, please include:
- Name of your institute and programme
- Subjects you are following
- Level you will achieve
You may also list additional skills, interests, other things that you consider important for the selection committee to know.
As an example, you may use the Europass format to create your CV.
The CV may contain a maximum of 3 pages.
Proof of Identity

A photocopy of the page(s) of your valid passport that give your name, date of birth, place of birth, passport expiration date and signature. In addition, a photocopy of each stamped page is required.
The Dutch Immigration Office (IND) requires all Non EU/EFTA nationals who require a visa/residence permit for The Netherlands to have a passport that is valid until at least 6 months after 1 September.
Will your passport expire within this period?
If accepted to your programme and your passport will expire within this period, you will need to upload a new passport by 1 May.Already living in the Netherlands?
In case you are already living in the Netherlands, you also need to upload a copy of your residence permit (front and back side of the card). -
A photocopy of the page(s) of your valid passport that give your name, date of birth, place of birth and the passport expiration date or a photocopy of your valid European ID card (both sides). To be able to enrol, your passport/ID card must be valid until at least the start of the academic year.

- Diploma secondary school + certified translation.
- Transcript secondary school + certified translation.
- Transcript first year of Science / Engineering University + certified translation.
- Passport (all relevant pages) or European ID card (front and back side). Check validity requirements above under Proof of Identity.
