Christos Chontos

Hi! I am Christos Chontos and I come from Greece. Growing up and studying in Athens, a city with constant conflict of different design notions, characterized by diversity and contradictions, I find myself continuously wondering about the ways our contemporary urban environments develop. This fueled my interest in the Master in Geomatics at the faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment of TU Delft. My 5-year program in Rural, Surveying Engineering and Geoinformatics in Greece formed the basis of my perseverance towards this direction. Moreover, the improvement of living standards and the social impact turned out to be an additional incentive.

Through Erasmus program I had my first international experience and I understood the value of studying, working and living abroad, as well as exploring different models of collaboration with other students and professors. TU Delft is a world-class university that allows you to develop both your academic skills and personality. At the same time, the valuable course content comes to complete the beginning of an interesting adventure. With free time being also important, proper time management is the essence of including mental, social and physical activity in your daily routine.

As a member of the Student Ambassador team, I am available to answer all your possible questions to the extent that I know, settle down whichever concern you might have, as well as to offer my assistance and give you advice related to your student life and your life here in the city of Delft in general. Moving to a new country or a new city is a process that every single one of us has been through. During our first steps, lack of information or other issues might appear, but with the proper guidance and directions everything is manageable and adapting to this new place becomes an easy and enjoyable process.
