Georg Miguel Strunck

Hey! My name is Georg Strunck and I come from Flensburg, Germany, right next to the border of Denmark. I moved to The Netherlands in August of 2017 to study Aerospace Engineering at the TU Delft.  After obtaining my bachelor's degree in 2020, I joined the dream team ‘Brunel Solar Team’ full-time for one-and-a-half years as a structural engineer and in February of this year I started with my master in Robotics.

During my high school time, I got interested in research as well as cutting-edge engineering technology and decided in a gap year as an au-pair in Switzerland that I would like to study Aerospace Engineering. The TU Delft became my choice due to its outstanding facilities, its research programmes and the international community at the Aerospace faculty.

In my opinion, Delft is a great place to study for multiple reasons. One of them is the international culture, which allows you to get to know people from all over the world. Also, the Dutch people are very friendly and are easy to speak English with. Next to that, I enjoy the challenging environment of the TU Delft.  If you want to do more besides your studies, there are countless possibilities to develop your own skillset in different ways. These possibilities range from doing extracurricular projects with the faculty over Dream teams to sport associations.

Next to studying in Delft, I discovered that The Netherlands is the place to be for road cycling as the country is very bicycle friendly.

When I chose to apply to the TU Delft, I still had many questions about how I should properly arrange everything with the university and about navigating through the Dutch legal requirements. Now, I have managed most of these challenges and as a student ambassador I am happy to help you out :)

If you have any questions about the Aerospace Engineering or Robotics programme, or any other questions do not hesitate to contact me!

I am looking forward to meeting you! ?
