Mariana Osorio

Hi! My name is Mariana Osorio Escobar and I come from the cheerful and beautiful Mexico. I am currently a master student in Integrated Product Design, which means I get to create and innovate very interesting products that someday will improve people’s lives. I did my B.S in Industrial Design, in the most industrial city of Mexico: Monterrey, which taught me well, and positioned me in challenging job positions when working as a professional. Before coming to TU Delft I worked 4 years in different design areas, but the most significant one was as a Mechanical Designer in the manufacturing of medical sterilizers and steam generators. This exact moment in my life made me realize I wanted to dedicate myself to the design and innovation of medical products and bring value to this industry worldwide.

Choosing TU Delft was easy, not only it is recognized around the world as one of the best technological Universities, but within their design tracks they offer medical design, which aligned with my professional goals.  Moreover, The Netherlands is an amazing country, while backpacking in 2016 I visited for one month and fell in love with its beautiful architecture, its multicultural society, its cycling culture, the cheese and the whole atmosphere! And now, while studying my MSc I can confirm that living in The Netherlands can open a lot of opportunities for you, can bring new life experiences, and can boost your talent.

Being an Ambassador is the result of how much I want people to come and live this experience. Having a Master Degree signifies a lot for your personal and professional growth, and making it easier and fun it’s what I am here for, so don’t hesitate in contacting me!
