Priscilla Namwanje

Hi there! I am Priscilla from Uganda, the pearl of Africa ☺. I am doing my Master’s in Architecture, Urbanism and the Building Sciences. I did my Bachelors in Architecture but I spent most of my time after school doing research on informal settlements and participating in MOOC’s (massive open online courses). This guided my choice to specialize in the Urbanism track here at TU Delft, which offers the best Urbanism program worldwide.

I have an ardent passion for activism and social justice, both of which are central to my career path. If I’m not advocating for some kind of social change, then you’ll find me basking in the sun, listening to music or enjoying a meal with friends. More recently, I’ve picked up the Dutch cycling culture as well. Starting my studies during the covid-19 pandemic presented quite a unique set of challenges. It was hard to coordinate a lot of the online educational activities and make friends, but the university offered quite a variety of resources and re adapted the teaching style such that our education was still collaborative, engaging and fun despite being mostly online.

The application process can be quite daunting for prospective students, so I sought help from student ambassadors while I was applying. Likewise, I aim to help students with a similar educational and cultural background, navigate the application and enrollment process with ease. Do not hesitate to get in touch with me. Cheers!
