Should we bring the internet under control?

Cyber crimes like hacking and ransomware may be resolved by tagging each file and every piece of hardware with a unique identifier. What is keeping us from doing this? Dr. Pieter van Gelder, Professor of Safety Science at TU Delft's Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management (TBM), does not think the handle system would prevent cyber crimes. Although it would make detecting and tracking individuals much easier.

DSyS partner in World Bank Workshop on Occupational Safety and Health

The World Bank - among other things - provides financing to governments in developing countries e.g. for construction projects, and is looking to improve Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) circumstances. Together with the CPWR and the IAG, DSyS is advising the World Bank on the development of an e-learning course OSH.

Veiligheid wordt een steeds belangrijker onderwerp in de evenementenbranche. Een bijeenkomst moet voor bezoekers op de eerste plaats plezierig en waardevol zijn. Niet minder belangrijk is de veiligheid, zowel fysiek als digitaal. Hoe organiseer je een veilig congres? Congrescentrum Spant vroeg het aan professionals die veel met dit onderwerp te maken hebben, waaronder Adri Frijters van het TU Delft Safety & Security Institute, en maakte een white paper.
