DEAN: het 4TU alumni netwerk gaat virtueel
Als je elkaar niet fysiek kan ontmoeten, doen we het online.
Met de opkomst van COVID19 wereldwijd is de behoefte aan onderling contact voor alumni in het buitenland evident. Daarom heeft DEAN gedurende de afgelopen twee maanden voor alle actieve locaties (Nordics, Spanje, Frankrijk, Duitsland, Zwitserland, USA/Canada East en USA/Canada West) een virtueel alumni event georganiseerd. Het doel van deze events is de band met de universiteiten verder versterken en het onderlinge contact te bevorderen.
Het programma bestond uit updates van de universiteiten, een keynote van een inspirerende alumnus en een virtuele BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage) borrel. Totaal hebben ruim 500 alumni zich voor deze events ingeschreven.
Met een gemiddelde waardering van 8,5 en een aanbevelingscijfer van ruim 8,5 zin de events erg goed door onze alumni ontvangen. Dat blijkt ook uit de opmerkingen in de korte enquête.
De vervolgstap is dat er na de zomer een aantal online thema events worden georganiseerd, waarbij we alumni op thema in verschillende tijdzones zullen bedienen.

Great job! Unbelievable attention to detail made it better, including the idea/risk-taking of the borrels, the group facilitation, and the comprehensive follow-ups including survey, attendee list and especially WhatsApp local groups. Congrats to all who organized it!
I thoroughly enjoyed participating, getting to meet others in my area, and meeting everyone else from across the eastern-half of North America and NL! It was a great escape from current times with stay-at-home orders, and not being able to travel. I look forward to participating again in the future
