Floating Solar Panels on In-shore Waterways

Visit the project website: www.innozowa.nl

There are 52,000 hectares of shallow inland waterways across the Netherlands, offering a significant, untapped potential for integrating floating solar panels into existing landscapes. Together with Blue 21, Dutch Water Authority Rivierenland and Hakkers, TU Delft is developing cost-competitive PV systems with bifacial modules and sustainable, lightweight materials. TU Delft provides high accuracy DC-to-AC electricity yield prediction modelling as well as the implementation of power output monitoring.
