As an urban planner, architect, and political scientist, I am deeply engaged with the social and political dimensions of design. My research navigates the realms of post-colonial architecture and planning, advocating for a deep understanding of intersectionality within design and planning processes. I am committed to participatory planning and championing designerly approaches to knowledge production, recognizing the transformative potential of such methodologies in shaping inclusive urban futures.

My work underscores the imperative of advocacy within planning and spatial practices. Strategic planning is not merely a technical exercise but a potent act of resistance. It is through these deliberate acts of planning that we can envisage and enable alternative spatial futures, challenging existing paradigms and fostering spaces of empowerment and equity. This perspective is foundational to my approach, aiming to not only critique the present state of urban environments but also to actively contribute to the creation of just, equitable, and vibrant urban futures.
