Biografie

Deniz Ezgi Gülmez graduated from the B.Sc. Program in mechanical engineering at Dokuz Eylul University in Turkey. Then, she enrolled in Solid Mechanics M.Sc. The program comes under the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) in Turkey. During her M.Sc. study, she was a project student in a TUBITAK (The Scientific and Research Council of Turkey) project that is about mechanical properties of nanoporous metal reinforced with carbon-based nanomaterials by using “Molecular Dynamics” method. After this project, she worked as a research and teaching assistant at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, ITU. she joined AMT group in July 2019 as a PhD candidate under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Jos Sinke and Prof. Clemens Dransfeld. Her PhD project is about high-performance composites based on discontinuous fibre architectures.
