Biografie
Joris is universitair docent op het gebied van wonen bij de TU Delft. Hij heeft ook een aanstelling als gastprofessor bij de University of Free State in Bloemfontein, Zuid-Afrika. Joris is gespecialiseerd in internationaal vergelijkend onderzoek, woonbeleid en sociale huisvesting. Hij geeft onderwijs over woononderwerpen en onderzoeksmethoden en hij is actief in de ontwikkeling van het online onderwijs. Joris is 'work package leader' (work package on participatory action research and reflexive policy making) in het H2020 UPLIFT project (https://www.uplift-youth.eu/). Tussen 2010 en 2017 was Joris managing editor van Journal of Housing and the Built Environment. Naast zijn werk aan de univerisiteit is Joris RvC-lid bij een Nederlandse woningcorporatie.
