Dr. K. (Kateryna) Marynets
- boundary value problems, arising in geophysics;
- computational methods for ordinary and partial differential equations;
- nonlinear fractional boundary value problems.
Kateryna Marynets is an Assistant Professor (tenure track) at Delft University of Technology (The Netherlands).
Her expertise lies primarily on the qualitative analysis of boundary value problems, arising in geophysics, and computational methods for fractional differential equations and their systems.
She obtained her PhD in Mathematics from Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University (Ukraine) with the expertise in differential equations. In particular, she worked on the solvability analysis and approximation of solutions of essentially nonlinear boundary value problems for ordinary differential systems.
In addition, she has BSc and MSc degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Applied Mathematics from Uzhhorod National University (Ukraine). Her Master thesis was focused on parametrization of solutions of the nonlinear boundary value problems and improvement of the numerical-analytic techniques for their analytic representation.
2017 - ‘Investigation of boundary value problems for fractional differential systems’ (PI): Individual Grant of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.
2013-2015 - ‘Development and investigation of new analytic and numerical-analytic methods in the theory of boundary-value problems’ (co-investigator): Grant of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
2010-2013 - PhD project ‘The investigation of nonlinear boundary-value problems with the help of parametrization’.
2016 - Award of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for the series of research papers ‘Investigation of solutions of the nonlinear boundary value problems with integral boundary conditions’.
2009 - Award for the talk ‘Investigation of the three-point boundary value problems of the Cauchy-Nicoletti type’ at the International symposium ‘The issues of calculation optimization’.
2008 - Scholar of the President of Ukraine for young researchers.
