3. Electives

About

Electives are in the MSC TIL programme, because
- You can tailor the programme to your own needs;
- They support its interdisciplinary character.

A wide range of courses is offered, including those from (other) specialisations by T&P, T&L, MME and from other TIL related fields, such as air transport (in Electives C&O), maritime transport, sustainability, ethics, etc. (in Electives TIL).

Obligatory courses

You must choose at least one course from these:

  • Electives T&P - Transport and Planning
    MSc Civil Engineering, track Transport and Planning.
  • Electives T&L - Transport and Logistics
    MSc COSEM, domain specialisation Transport and Logistics.
  • Electives MME - Multi Machine Engineering

Rules

Electives can be chosen from all contributing MSc programmes, other MSc programmes of Delft University of Technology or other universities in the Netherlands.
Your awarded Electives have to add up to 25 EC. Within the required 25 EC you must choose at least four courses outside your specialisation, within the rules as given above. The eventually remaining credits may be chosen otherwise.
Article 5 of the Annex of the Teaching and Examination Regulations (TER) applies.

Relation with final thesis project

According to TER Article 7.3 you can start your thesis project TIL5060 while lacking at most 5 points from your Electives and fulfilling the other obligations (you may also miss 5 Specialisation EC) mentioned. This will be checked after your TIL-2 form has been received.
