Grant information
The Erasmus+ Traineeship grant is available for you, as TU Delft student who will do a traineeship, internship abroad or research project at a company, education centre, university, research centre, or other organisation in one of the participating countries. The countries that participate in the Erasmus+ programme are divided into three groups:

2 | Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain | €420 per month |
3 | Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Republic of Macedonia, Turkey | €360 per month |
Please note that a calculation will be made on the basis of one month is the equivalent of 30 days. Furthermore, you are receiving a remuneration of no more than €1000,- net monthly.
Switzerland
You cannot apply for an Erasmus+ grant for studies in Switzerland.
Additional financial support for students
The additional funding can be granted for underprivileged students, students who experience one or more obstacles and students who decide to travel sustainably to and from their chosen destination.
The additional funding top up grant is a maximum of €250 per month, if you are in financial need and have a disability you can only receive up to €250 per month.

Students who can prove they will be travelling both ways sustainably to their exchange destination can apply for a €50 top up grant. If you travel by train, bus or carpool you will need to provide proof of this when you complete your ‘after mobility’ requirements. Send the PDF document ‘Declaration of Honour – Green Travel’ to erasmusgrant@tudelft.nl. Scans/full screenshots of travel tickets/benzine receipts are accepted. If you carpool with other students, you and all students in the same car will need to complete the form.
How to apply:

Indicate that you would like to receive additional financial support by selecting ‘yes’ in the Learning agreement.

Within 4 weeks of completion of your exchange programme, provide proof of your sustainable travel. Complete the Declaration of Honour – Green Travel form.

Send as one PDF, the Declaration of Honour and proof of travel (full screenshots/scans of tickets or receipts).

All carpooling students will need to complete their own carpool form and fellow carpooling students form.

The Statement of Host and Travel report.

Your Top-up amount will be added to the last 30% of your Erasmus+ scholarship payment.

If you did not apply for the green Travel top up and you did travel to your destination and plan to return to TU Delft sustainably, please complete a ‘Changes to the Learning agreement (CttLA)” form within 7 weeks of your arrival at the organization/company.

Students with a disability and/or health problems can apply for a ‘top-up’ grant. These students can benefit from the support services that the host institute/company offers to its own students. The different types of disability refer to physical, mental and/or health related disabilities. Students can receive €250 per month (per 30 days).
How to apply
- Indicate that you would like to receive additional financial support by selecting ‘yes’ in the Learning agreement.

Provide a medical certificate or official statement about your physical or health problems from a doctor and/or medical/health institute with your application for the Erasmus + scholarship.If it is not possible to provide a certificate or statement send an email to erasmusgrant@tudelft.nl explaining your situation.

Follow and complete the regular application process for the Erasmus+ studies or traineeship grant.
- Once approved you will receive the Top up grant with your first payment.
- Please note: Should this not be sufficient to enable you to go abroad, please send an email explaining why to erasmusgrant@tudelft.nl

Students in financial need refers to students who receive additional funding from DUO. To apply for this top up grant of €250 per month (per 30 days) please provide the following document.

Provide proof of an awarded supplementary grant from DUO, being not 0.= (zero) Euros. If ‘0’ is registered, you are not eligible. This proof is valid for the granting of the inclusion top-up, and it is valid up to two years after termination of the study. It is not important in which year of the study this proof has been issued.

Online Language Support
Students who go abroad within the Erasmus+ framework have the opportunity to access OLS language courses in both their mobility language and the official local language(s) of their destination. Students have the opportunity to complete an Online Linguistic Assessment before they depart for their mobility. Based on these results, they will be automatically allocated a language course or can choose to receive an online language training.
