Osaka University – SDGS Virtual Student Exchange 2022
We invite all students to join us and actively participate in these events:
- “Let’s Take Action” Online Symposium will be held online on August 29, 2022. The event features a keynote speech by Ms. Kaoru Nemoto, Director of the United Nations Information Centre, along with inspirational guest speeches by Osaka University alumni and young social entrepreneurs. The speakers will discuss SDGs from local and global perspectives and share their journeys of taking action. The symposium will be held in Japanese with English simultaneous interpretation. The registration (https://tinyurl.com/OUSDG) will close on August 26. However, the seat limit is 200 people, and the registration may close earlier once we reach this limit.
- “3 Minutes of Inspiration for Sustainable Development” Student Video entries are accepted until October 2 (with video submissions until October 30) (https://tinyurl.com/OUVideo). Creative video works in various forms will be welcome. The attached poster includes detailed guidance for students.
- The nominated videos from the contest will feature at an online Awards Ceremony and Student Forum on December 16, 2022.

Tohoku University Japanese Summer Programme (TUJP)
The program consists of intensive Japanese lessons with many hands-on activities to practice Japanese. In addition, there are interactive lessons on traditional and modern Japanese culture and society. Moreover, there are collaborative learning activities with local Tohoku University students. Also “buddies” (local students) will make you feel welcome, and assist you during the program. This program, tailored to meet your needs and interests, will help you discover the REAL Japan.
