1728 - (junior) IT-Consultant for the Energy Sector
This company in the province of Utrecht is an energy expert focusing on large energy stakeholders (both producing and consuming) and provides software solutions (SaaS) and data management services. Since the start of the company in 1997, they help their clients to plan, operate and implement their energy strategy.
Their broad range of clients varies from large (inter)national companies to (semi)public organisations. They value long-term partnerships, always aiming to add value and have an agile approach to change, improvements and adapting as the energy market is more dynamic than ever!
The base of the digital solutions you provide is a software suite with which companies can analyze energy related data, predict energy prices and optimize company processes. The digital tools you implement include the latest developments in database technology with an in-house developed calculation engine to handle exceptionally large data streams.
You immediately work with customers and have a senior colleague as your guide and back-up. In an early stage you get to understand why a client requests a digital solution and how it is going to be used. You are involved from problem analysis to technical design and implementation which means you attend client meetings and also perform software configuration. Having gained experience in programming/scripting (during studies or internship) is a MUST.
The company encourages you to take ownership yourself and to become an IT-specialist. You learn to take on work yourself and discuss the right course with your senior guide.
Are you triggered what other junior Consultants say about the job:
“There are many possibilities in solving challenges of energy stakeholders, not just a single one. That means you can and should be creative in offering a digital solution. There is no blueprint, you need to figure out yourself how you can best progress.”
