Dr. L.M. (Linda) Kamp

Profile

Linda Kamp is assistant professor in Energy & Industry. Within the MSc Sustainable Energy Technology (SET) she coordinates the Economics and Society profile. Within this MSc, she is member of the Board of Examiners. For three years, she was Chairperson of the Board of Studies of the MSc SET.

She graduated in Technology and Policy (Utrecht University, 1996), where she completed a Master thesis on the system-dynamic modelling of sustainable land use. After that, she completed a PhD thesis on the development of wind energy in the Netherlands and Denmark (Utrecht University, 2002).

Research

Linda’s research focuses on the implementation of sustainable energy technologies in developed and developing countries, and design of business strategies to speed up this implementation. She has co-organized a number of conference tracks and a special issue on this topic. She has given invited lectures in for example UPC Barcelona and the Academy of Sciences in Kiev. Twice she has been a member of a PhD committee. She has published articles in leading international journals such as Energy Policy, Journal of Cleaner Production and Wind Engineering.
