I. (Inna) Stepchuk

Profile

Inna Stepchuk is a PhD candidate at Energy and Industry Section. She obtained her first master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering for Chemical Production from NTUU "KPI”, Ukraine in 2015 and the second one from KTH Royal Institute, Sweden in Management and Engineering of Environment and Energy in 2019 (Erasmus Mundus ME3 programme). Besides her masters, she also has 5 years of professional experience as a research analyst and consultant in the field of clean energy transition in Ukraine, Germany and the Netherlands.

Research

Her PhD research is a part of the NWO project named “Unravelling the impact of using alternative raw materials in industrial clusters” led by prof Andrea Ramirez. The main focus of the research is based on the evaluation of possible impacts of the fossil-based raw materials replacement, which are employed in industrial sectors by alternative ones, such as CO2 or biomass. Potential impacts are assessed through the application of process modelling and simulation software ‘ASPEN’.
