Dr. C. (Claudia) Werker
Claudia Werker is an Associate Professor in Economics of Technology and Innovation at the Department Technology, Policy and Management at Delft University of Technology as well as a visiting professor at the Research Area Technology, Innovation, Marketing and Entrepreneurship (TIME) at RWTH Aachen University. She is the vice-chairwoman of the works council of Delft University of Technology.
Research
Currently, Claudia Werker focuses on inclusive research and innovation in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines. This fits with her overall research interest on how responsible research and innovation (RRI) systems evolve in the digital age, particularly analyzing effects of artificial intelligence, robotics, internet of things platforms and big data. To this effect, Claudia Werker served as a member of TU Delft Vision Team Robotics that advised the rector and the general public on this matter.
Claudia Werker received her PhD-degree in Economics (Dr. rer. pol.) from Freiberg University of Technology, Germany (summa cum laude), studying how collaboration and innovation transform socio-technical systems ever since. She has served as a referee for the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) as well as for numerous scientific journals. From the European Commission, the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) she has gotten various grants.

Claudia Werker has published numerous articles in and co-edited five special issues for high-ranking peer-reviewed journals such as Technovation, Journal of Business Economics, Industry and Innovation, JASS, or Science and Engineering Ethics.

Since more than 20 years Claudia Werker has been teaching Bachelor, Master and PhD students about Economics of Innovation and Technology including topics such as responsible innovation (systems), knowledge networks and innovation systems, technology and industry dynamics, innovation management, innovation and technology policy as well as university-industry linkages.
