Dr. M.L.C. (Mark) de Bruijne

Profile

Mark de Bruijne (PhD) is an assistant professor at Delft University of Technology on Engineering and Policy Analysis at TPM. As Public Administration scholar, he earned his PhD with a study into the effects of institutional fragmentation on the reliability of service provision in critical infrastructures. His PhD was shortlisted for the G.A. van Poelje Year Prize 2006 for best dissertation in Public Administration in the Netherlands and Belgium. His subsequent research assessed the consequences of institutional fragmentation for the governance of public values such as reliability, availability, adaptiveness, resilience and sustainability in infrastructure industries.

Mark is actively involved in the Next Generation Infrastuctures cooperation between six major infrastructure managers in the Netherlands which feeds his current research interest in the challenges of cross-infrastructural collaboration in infrastructure replacement and infrastructure planning.
