A. (Asli) Mutlu
Asli is a PhD candidate at the Department of Multi-Actor Systems at TU Delft at the Faculty of Technology Policy and Management. She holds a master’s degree in Spatial, Transport and Environmental Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. In her master thesis, she employed a hedonic price model to analyze the effect of rapid transit stations on house prices. After acquiring the master’s degree, she worked as a research assistant in the department of Spatial Economics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
Her work focuses on developing a spatial Agent-Based Model to understand the socio-economic impacts of Nature-Based Solutions. She work primarily on behavioral aspects of economic choices that households make on where to live and how to adapt, and on dynamic opinion dynamics models regarding evolving risks and acceptability of NBS. Eventually, she aims to help stakeholders to quantify impacts and visualize trade-offs of Nature-Based Solutions and flood hazards that grow with climate change.
