Dr. Mr. N. (Niek) Mouter MSc

Profile

Niek Mouter: I am an assistant professor at TU Delft’s Transport & Logistics group. My research focuses on the appraisal of infrastructure projects. My research primarily revolves around two research lines: 1) The inclusion of equity and other ethically important considerations in the appraisal of infrastructure projects in general and Cost-Benefit Analysis in particular; 2) Improving the usability of Cost-Benefit Analysis for policy makers.

More publications

I am the owner and editor of the website www.mkba-informatie.nl. The main objective of this website is to provide direct access to ‘basic information’ concerning the Cost-Benefit Analysis (in Dutch: Maatschappelijke kosten- en batenanalyse). In addition, www.mkba-informatie.nl offers extensive background information regarding this ex-ante evaluation instrument for experts and curious non-experts (for instance, publications, guidelines and ‘best practices’). In the period 2013-2016 the website attracted 113.000 unique visitors.
