K. (Ksenia) Poplavskaya, MSc
Ksenia Poplavskaya is an external PhD candidate at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management of Delft University of Technology. In her PhD, she focuses on agent-based market modelling and the issues of integrating new actors and technologies into short-term electricity markets. Mainly stationed in Vienna, she is also a researcher in electricity markets and regulation at the Austrian largest research organization, Austrian Institute Technology. For the last 3 years, in her research she has been exploring design questions of interrelated electricity markets and incentives for bidding strategies of different market participants. Ksenia Poplavskaya has contributed to and managed several national and European projects by providing analysis on electricity markets, innovative business models, policy instruments as well as national and EU regulation. She holds a M.Sc. (Hons) degree in Environmental Technology and International Affairs from the Technical University of Vienna and the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna.
