K.A.M. (Klara) Pigmans, MSc
After an MSc in Business Informatics from Utrecht University and professional experience in industry and at NGO’s, I started my PhD research in May 2015.
I investigate complex policy-making processes with multiple stakeholders. The interests of stakeholders are often so different that conflicts are the rule rather than the exception. Therefore I am looking into the possibilities to create a common language by making the values at stake explicit and making stakeholders deliberate on these values. By facilitating workshops and online deliberations in different settings and contexts, I analyse the role of values in deliberative processes and how this can impact mutual understanding among stakeholders with diverse perspectives.
