R.J. (Roman) Hennig
Roman Hennig is a PhD student within the Energy and Industry group at TPM, TU Delft. He holds a Diploma in Physics from Heidelberg University, Germany and a Master in Public Policy from University of Maryland, USA. He previously worked at the World Resources Institute in Washington D.C., where he was a research analyst for climate and energy data tools and low carbon strategies.
Roman is performing research on market designs and policy regulations for the urban energy transformation. Future urban energy grids will have to adapt to a high percentage of fluctuating intermittent energy sources like wind and solar, accommodate many distributed generators and make efficient use of smart appliances and consumer behaviour (smart grids). These challenges are investigated through stochastic modelling in an agent-based model.
