S. (Shantanu) Chakraborty

Profile

Shantanu Chakraborty is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Early Stage Researcher at the faculty of Technology, Policy and Management of Delft University of Technology. Prior to joining the University, Shantanu gathered industrial experience in the fields of Demand Side Management; and Solid Oxide Fuel Cell reliability analysis and control. He has a M.Sc. in Power Systems Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and a B.Eng. in Computer Engineering from University of Mumbai.   

Research

Shantanu’s research focuses on control strategies that promote coordinated management of the electric grid in a multi-actor power system. Driven by interests in the domain of Power Systems; their optimization, control and economics; the work will address issues pertaining to enabling Flexible Load Aggregation and the evolving relationship between DSOs and TSOs.
