Dr. B. (Bernadette) Lóscio

Profile

Dr. Bernadette Farias Lóscio is a guest researcher at the Information and Communication Technology section of the Technology, Policy and Management Faculty of Delft University of Technology and an Associate Professor at Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil. She has a PhD in Computer Science and more than 20 years of experience doing research and working on data related projects. Her research aims to investigate theoretical, but also practical aspects, related to Data Integration, Data Ecosystems, Open Data and Big Data.

Research

As a guest researcher at TPM, she is conducting an investigation about Data Traceability. During her stay, she will investigate data traceability and data provenance challenges in the context of data sharing and data exchange. Her research aims to identify how to monitor data when it is created, collected, processed and moved to be able to use them effectively, as well as to promote trust and data reuse.
