Dr. E. (Erik) Pruyt

Profile

Dr. Erik Pruyt obtained his PhD from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Currently, he is Associate Professor of System Dynamics and Policy Analysis at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management at Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands, where he teaches System Dynamics and supervises many BSc, MSc and PhD students in modelling and simulation as well as in exploratory modeling and analysis. 100+ of his system dynamics teaching cases are available online through his free e-book Small System Dynamics Models for Big Issues. He hosted the 2014 and 2016 International System Dynamics Conferences and summer schools and is VP Meetings of the System Dynamics Society. His methodological research focusses on methods and techniques for dealing with dynamically complex and deeply uncertain policy issues. His applied research interests include (but are not limited to) model-based policy support related to health policy, humanitarian and development aid, energy and environmental policy, safety and security, and public policy in general.
