T.J. (Thomas) Baar, MA


In his role as policy advisor, Thomas supports the department of Multi-Actor Systems (Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management at TU Delft) in developing its strategy and policy agenda. Together with the department, he works amongst others on developing its positioning in The Hague and coordinates its various labs.

Previously, he worked as the lead of HumanityX (Leiden University’s Centre for Innovation). HumanityX supports organisations in the peace, justice and humanitarian sectors to adopt digital innovations in order to increase their impact on society.

Thomas has a background in public and responsible innovation within the humanitarian sector. Moreover, he holds a Masters in Conflict Studies & Human Rights (Utrecht University) Bachelor in Social and Political Philosophy (Utrecht University).
