Our university is becoming increasingly international. As one of the world’s top technical universities, we attract researchers and PhD candidates from around the world. Our researchers publish in renowned international journals and present their results at conferences from Seattle to Dubai. And all of this in English.
You probably need to use English a lot more now than you did ten years ago: communicating with international students, organizing conferences, writing reports, answering questions, etc.
The university recognizes the importance English plays in our internationalization, and wants all staff to be able to communicate in English. After all, the first impression people get of our university will be the English in a brochure, email or conversation.
