Dr.ir. L. (Lavinia) Marin


Educational background in analytic philosophy, educational theory and philosophy, electronics engineering and euroculture. 

Current research focuses on mediated epistemology: how thinking and knowledge are mediated via technology, social relations and embodiment. This includes working on philosophy of mediality, especially digital media; epistemology of embodied cognition and reasoning, critical thinking as embodied and mediated practice, and intellectual virtues. Another strand of current research focuses on online (mis)information, critical inquiry in online communities, online emotions, digital forms of life, and virtues of informational agents.
