A. (Anca) Mutu

Profile

Anca Mutu (1985) is an external (Contract Industry) PhD candidate at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management in the Safety and Security Science Group. She received her Master degree in Power Systems from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in Romania (2009) and she obtained further qualifications and work experience in the field of safety engineering. Currently she is conducting research on the enhancement of the legal compliance at small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through usage of intelligent decisional and selection tools.

Overall goal of her research is increasing safety (asset- , business-, process- but also occupational safety) through better legal compliance.

Besides her research at the Delft University of Technology, Anca is a full-time employee at Lloyd’s Register (LR) – a technical and business services organisation classification society – providing support to organizations in increasing the safety level of their assets and processes. She is also managing all legal compliance projects inside LR and she is responsible for coaching, training and supporting clients in achieving asset, business, process or occupational safety. As new products developer Anca is involved in several research groups related to the safe and optimal usage of energy in critical infrastructure and cyber security in critical infrastructure and safety-related systems. She is also an active member of the European Workshop on Industrial Computer Systems Reliability, Safety and Security (EWICS) organization and a member of the Dutch Normalization Institute (NEN) commission on safety and reliability of medical devices.
