F. (Filippo) Grillo
Filippo has a B.Sc. in Economics and Business Management from LUISS University in Rome, Italy, and double M.Sc. degree cum laude in Innovation and Industrial Management from both LUISS University and the School of Business, Economics and Law in Gothenburg, Sweden. Prior to the PhD, which started in September 2020, he has worked for two years covering several roles in the field of process and project management for ICT and digital industries.
Within the department of Economics of Innovation and Technology, Filippo’s research focuses on examining the phenomenon of technical standardization and its correlation with different market structures.
Literature fervently debates on which market structures (and other exogenous factors) affect the establishment of standards in high-tech markets and the subsequent shaping of a transparent competition. His role is to explore this correlation by outlining behaviours that each stakeholder (companies, policy makers, institutions) should conduct.
