MSc. S.M. (Shaney) Doornkamp
I have a background in Psychology at the Applied University of Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam. I specialized in Brain & Cognitive sciences at the University of Amsterdam. Due to interest in computational AI and mental models, I am a scientific worker within this domain whilst using my background in Psychology.
The research I am currently doing includes substantiating and designing mental models, based on computational AI and psychology, within the SafeCoach AI project with the Erasmus MC. Main topics of this research pertains to organizational learning within the hospital and promoting a just culture within teams. The aim is for this coach to support health care workers during critical procedures, such as the birth of a child.
Previous research I have done pertains to designing a mental model that explains how dreaming may lead to (enhanced) creative outcomes during waking cognition.
The research demystifying the (causal) relation between dreaming and creativity is soon to be published.
