Health & Resilience

A system’s perspective on health care resilience

TOPICS: HEALTH

The Covid-19 pandemic has clearly demonstrated the need for our healthcare systems to become more resiliency. While conventional tools focus on the capacity of hospitals or GPs, we have seen that behaviour, social & informational networks and institutions are vital to effective response in health crises. In this project, based on a systematic review of the health and resilience literature, we will make headway toward developing a new, systems oriented conceptualisation of health care resilience. This will provide a solid basis for measuring and improving the resilience of health systems.
