Best Lecturer of the Year
Every year, the study associations nominate a lecturer for the title "TU Delft Lecturer of the Year" on behalf of the faculty. The winner will be selected on the basis of the nominations submitted. The jury consists of an Executive Board member, the Academic Director of the Teaching Academy, two members of the Student Council and a member of the Study Association Council.
The winner will be announced during Education Day and honored by fellow lecturers and invitees from all nominating study associations. In addition to the title, you will receive a check for EUR 6,000 on behalf of TU Delft, of which EUR 5,000 is intended to support the development of your own education and EUR 1,000 for private use. Of course, it`s not only the winner that gets all the attention. The other nominees are also put in the spotlight.
The title "TU Delft Lecturer of the Year" can mean a lot for your career. As a winner you will be nominated for the national election where you have the chance to win exclusive participation in the national Comenius network and a cash prize of 25,000 euros for educational innovation. It was a very popular event in 2019! Assistant professor of the Faculty of Aerospace Technology (AE) Calvin Rans, who won the TU Delft election in 2018, was voted the best lecturer in the Netherlands. Given the large number of committed and inspiring lecturers within our university there is a good chance that we will be able to provide a successor in future national elections.
