Academic Background: 
Ali Mohammadi-Gheidari (1978) is an assistant professor at the faculty of Applied Sciences of the Delft University of Technology. He received his PhD degree in 2013 from the Delft University of Technology. In his PhD thesis work, under the supervision of Prof. Pieter Kruit, he has developed the electron optical column of a Multi-beam Scanning Electron Microscope (MBSEM) which was recently commercialized under the name of FAST-EM. Since 2011, he is working as a scientist at Thermo-Fisher (formerly known as FEI Electron Optics BV) on developing various concepts/components of electron microscopy most of which ended up being productized. From 2016 to 2019 he was sub-hired by TU-Delft as a scientist and a project coordinator to work on a high throughput multi-beam inspection project. Since 2019 he is a part time (affiliated) assistant professor, lecturing and conducting research in the field of Charged Particle Optics instrumentation.
