The EMPIR project will be presenting a ‘School of Physics’ workshop at this event, to outline the importance of their optical measurement methods, and to explain how these tools will enhance the ability of researchers and technology companies to handle matter at the nanoscale. The project coordinator, Omar El Gawhary, says, “The School of Physics will include talks by project partners, scientists from industry in the semiconductor and advanced imaging sector, and academia. Hence, attendees will have the chance to learn about the main achievements and challenges faced by this strategic research domain from different perspectives, which is something unique”. There will also be an opportunity to attend other workshops, topical meetings, and industrial exhibitions at the full week-long EOSAM, as well as the chance to meet optics and photonics experts at various evening and social networking events throughout the week.
