Precision Ultrasonic Flow Meters using Matrix Transducers

This project aims to improve the precision of clamp-on ultrasonic flow meters by solving the beam-alignment problems that occur in conventional flow meters in the presence of varying temperature, pressure and flow composition and at high flow speeds. To do so, we will develop matrix transducers that can electronically and automatically steer the ultrasonic beam.
