SESANS Spin-Echo Small-Angle Neutron Scattering

Spin-echo small-angle neutron scattering

One of the major projects over the past years has been the development of the spin-echo small-angle neutron scattering (SESANS) technique. SESANS is a new efficient method to measure structures of materials in real space. Structures can be determined over three orders of magnitude in length scale, from 10 nm to 20 um, which is two orders of magnitude larger than conventional small-angle neutron scattering (SANS).

The instrument is still improving and new applications are being discovered. Read all about it here!
