Education & Student Affairs

Education & Student Affairs (ESA) is responsible for supporting all bachelor, master and doctoral education at the TU Delft. From admission & registration, study programme administration and educational logistics, to student counselling, teacher support and sport & culture programme and facilities


Education Service Centre

The Education Service Centre (ESC) is responsible for education and student administration, which includes admissions, enrolments, registering grades and academic progress for students. It also provides support for TU Delft's educational logistics processes, such as digital testing, the registration and scheduling of curricula, and teaching accommodation.

Contact Centre ESA

The Contact Centre ESA  provides information on prodecures regarding admission, enrolment, tuition fees and housing requested by students.

Student Administration

Student Administration arranges both student admissions and enrolments as well as all associated proceedings in terms of grants and scholarships, tuition fees, residence permit, and accommodations.

Study Programme Administration

Study Programme Administrationis responsible for the administration of all study programmes of individual students, including minors and partnership programmes with other universities. This includes the complete range of administrative responsibilities such as registering grades, ”bindend studieadvies” and certification.

Education Logistics

Education Logistics schedules education for the faculties, provides timetables for the students and supports (digital) examinations. They monitor and improve the quality and quantity of educational facilities on the TU Delft campus, together with Campus and Real Estate, and ICT/Facility Management.


Academic Services

The Academic Services Department (AS) consists of three teams: Teaching and Learning Services, Teaching Academy Facilitation Team and Student Development. 

Teaching and Learning Services

provides support and training to teachers, and support for various educational innovation programmes such as the Extension School and the TU Delft Teaching Academy. They strive for educational change and the development of teaching skills by offering effective, efficient, and accessible services, with state-of-the-art knowledge and understanding of education, innovation, and support systems. The team consists of 30+ people working in three sub-teams: Support, Learning Development (comprising the UTQ, Blended Learning and Course Develpment teams), and Education Innovation/Project Management.

Student Development

Student Development provides support and advisory services to students and PhDs, which includes organising the Honours Programme and career activities, and providing student counselling services by a team of experienced and expert psychologists, student counsellors and study and career counsellors.

Teaching Academy Facilitation Team

The Teaching Academy Facilitation Team (TAFT) facilitates knowledge exchange and community building by organizing events and setting up projects to accelerate initiatives and strengthen collaboration throughout the TU Delft teaching community. The TAFT is settled in the Teaching Lab in which lecturers can meet and experiment with new forms of education and tools together with peer lecturers, educational support staff and students from all faculties.


X

X is a place on campus where students can develop the talents that they don’t necessarily need for an academic education, but which are nevertheless invaluable throughout their life. X focuses on the needs of young people and has a variable range of courses, ticket hours, projects and events. As a TU Delft staff member, you can also make use of X's courses and events.​

ESA staff department consists of Policy & Implementation, Information Management, and Communication.

ESA Policy & Implementation

ESA Policy & Implementation facilitates the policy development, implementation and evaluation regarding TU Delft education and student support. From quality assurance, educational development, study success and internationalization to inclusiveness and studying with disabilities.

ESA Information Management

Information Management supports all educational processes by delivering the best possible application support, reports and educational figures and advising on process innovations and improvement.

ESA Communications

ESA Communications facilitates communication towards students, PhD's and lecturers. It provides expertise and advice based on best practices and solid knowledge of the target groups. Communications supports in providing information to the ESA target groups on rules and regulations, processes, personal development and support, through various communication channels. They also organise the Introduction Programme (IP) for master's, exchange and bridging students.


Strategic programmes
