Programme Details

How transparency influences student reviews by Calvin Rans

Whenever Learners finish and submit an Assignment, their answers on manually graded Questions need to be reviewed. Multiple reviewing options are available.
In this session, we will focus on the experiences with the reviewing of student material and their pitfalls.

Print & Scan by Stefan Hugtenburg

Ans print & scan allows you to create your exam digitally in Ans, have it printed and scanned, review the exam online with your teaching team, and have students review their graded work online.
In this session, we will discuss the Print & scan function of Ans. We will discuss our experiences with print & scan and how it compares to our previously used tool “Zesje”. We will look at the resemblances and differences.

How to use Ans for example advanced parametrisation or random images by Ernest Breemen

Parametrisation is only available for Assignments of the Digital Test type. Each Question Type can have parameters in the Question Field. Depending on the Question type it is also possible to have parameters in the answer field.
In this session we will go more into detail on the advanced parametrisation. We will showcase some of the more advanced parametrisation options we have managed to implement. Interested in how to randomly use images in your exam? This is the session that will give you an answer to that question.

Choosing between ANS and Grasple in parametrised questions by Roel Visseren, Steven Hulshoff

Interested in alternatives for Ans on how to use parametrisation / continuation errors? Maybe Grasple is your tool. We will discuss the tools and their possibilities.

API usage for developing a dashboard for results of peer reviewed homework assignments by Tom van Woudenberg

The Ans Application Programming Interface (API) allows you to automate processes within your application landscape which involve Ans. You can think of processes like provisioning users, assignments and question banks where Ans is the application which receives data from another application. Some data is generated in Ans, for example results of assignments. This data can be extracted from Ans using the API.
In this session, we will go more into detail on the API and how we can use it for our own benefit.
We will show our requested Ans dashboard and we will go more into detail on how to use the API or how we would like to see it improved.
