"The magic of ceramics to me is the immense contrast between the clay and the art it becomes."

The first time...

...I went to X I was half a year into my studies. I started with fashion design and next I tried screen printing and figure drawing. Ceramics was the course that stuck for me and I took it three times! Nowadays I work in the Open Studio so other people can have my spot in the classes.

I have done...

...a lot of exploration in my ceramics. I have become much better at throwing on the wheel, but I was itching to try something new. So lately I have been exploring new techniques but everything I make still has a little happy face on it.

The magic of ceramics...

...to me is the immense contrast between the clay and the art it becomes. I just love the process, working with my hands really takes my mind of daily life. I also really enjoy the community at the open studios, seeing what others make and talking about the craft is so inspiring.

I really enjoy the community at the open studios.
