Rondetafelgesprek & boekpresentatie: BIG Day

11 april 2024 09:30 t/m 21:00 - Locatie: Berlagezaal 1 & Nieuwe Instituut (Museumpark 25, Rotterdam) - Door: Communicatie BK | Zet in mijn agenda

Op 11 april vinden het rondetafelgesprek en de boekpresentatie 'BIG Day' plaats.

Building Ideologies Group (BIG), a new group in the Department of Architecture, combines expertise in architectural and urban design history and theory with knowledge from social and political history and theory to study how during the long 20th century the profession and practice, and the projects and programmes of architecture and urban design changed in response to socio-political, economic, and cultural shifts. The work of BIG is self-reflexive: it considers the perspectives that we adopt to study entanglements between ideologies and the built environment. During this BIG Day, we will interrogate the scope of BIG both from a theoretical perspective and in methodological terms.
