Selection procedure

For the Aerospace Engineering Bachelor's, a selection procedure is in place. You have to take part in the selection procedure in order to be allocated a place. The deadline for application is 15 January 2024.

The bachelor programme Aerospace Engineering has a cap (numerus clausus) on the number of new students that can be admitted each year. There are 440 places available for the academic year 2024-2025. All steps of the selection procedure can be completed remotely from anywhere in the world.

The selection procedure is intended to assess how well prospective students match our educational programme. Important evaluation criteria are the applicant's academic knowledge, skills, and study motivation. During the selection procedure, you go through a number of steps, starting with an online learning environment. After this, you will have to fill out a personal questionnaire and participate in a selection exam. The results of the questionnaire and the selection exam are combined and converted into a final selection score, on the basis of which a ranking number will be assigned to you.

Ranking and result

If you complete the selection procedure, you will receive a ranking number based on your results. In the several steps of the selection procedure, you can already get an idea if our bachelor programme is a good fit for you. We have many more qualified and interested candidates for our programme than our capacity allows. For that reason, and irrespective of your actual ranking number, you will also see if we think you are suitable for our programme. The scores in the selection procedure are largely based on a candidate's performance relative to other candidates, where higher scores result in better (= lower) ranking numbers. Your ranking number will be emailed to you by Studielink on 15 April 2024. If your ranking number falls in the lowest 440 ranking numbers, you will immediately be offered a place on our study programme

If your ranking number is higher than the number of seats (440) available, you will have to wait until one of the other candidates declines his or her placement offer. You are allowed to participate in the selection procedure for our bachelor's degree programme for a maximum of three times.
